What office? Who is this guy? Who is this girl? Where are they? Why do I even want to read this blog?

I want to welcome you all at my blog. Who am I? Well, I am the guy on the picture. My name is Nettie and I would like to share my story about my travel with you guys. I don't have any experience in blogging and at the moment I don't care at all about that. I just want to give the people, who are interested in me, some nice stories about my stay here.

Internship at KAEFER in Rayong, Thailand

I am a student at the Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Commercial Economics, and I need to do an internship during my 6th semester. By chance I am currently in my 6th semester, and therefore I decided to do an internship abroad for 5 months. At the moment I am really interested in Sales & Marketing, but I do not feel like working for a Sales & Marketing company. Besides the Sales & Marketing, I also like constructions and it's innovation. So I used my network to create an opportunity to find an interesting internship. After a lot of calls and mails I ended up with a friendly man who is working at Kaefer. We had a couple of calls and Skype-conversations and finally he offered me an internship at Kaefer in Thailand Rayong.

Kaefer? Never heard of it!

You’ll probably never heard of Kaefer before, that is not a shame. Although, this year they celebrate it's 100th birthday. However, Kaefer is a company which deals in Insulation, Passive Fire Protection, Acces Solution (Scaffolding), Surface Production and much more. They are mostly known in the BtoB-sector, that is the reason why you, as a consumer, would probably never heard of it. Kaefer's main focus is in the construction sites and I hope I can help Kaefer in South-East-Asia with creating more Sales and a better Marketing campaign. Kaefer has establishments worldwide. Their offices are located in South-East-Asia, Austalia, Europe, Abu Dhabi and in USA.

Nervous but super thankful!

This girl next to me is my girlfriend. She is going to miss me for 5 months during my time in Thailand. She didn't want to let me go and that is the reason why she insisted to go with me to Thailand, to drop me off and have a lovely holiday for 1.5 week before the start of my internship. I am really thankful that she wants to go with me, because I am going to miss her a lot, and I am very nervous for the start in a totally new environment with all new people.
